Cliff Coy, Director of Outreach (He/Him)
Cliff Coy is a former US Army officer. He currently works full time for the Boston Vet Center as the Outreach Specialist. Before moving to Boston and connecting with Frost Call and the Vet Center, Cliff worked as a wilderness educator for the North Carolina Outward Bound School in both their at-risk youth and veterans wilderness programs.
Brooke Barnes, Finance Manager (They/She)
Brooke (they/she) is an Army veteran who served as a combat medic for most of their 15 year career and now works as a federal civilian employee at the Naval War College in Newport, RI. Their civilian career has varied from logistics, budget and financial analyst, to auditor. They also have a passion for efficiency and continuous process improvement.
Upon retiring in 2021, they noticed the lack of spaces for Queer Veterans and started taking classes and attending workshops to start a nonprofit to meet that need. A part of that journey was the discovery of Frost Call and slowly getting more involved with the community and organization. Brooke looks to support and help create inclusive organizations that give Queer Veterans the spaces that feel safe enough to find the commradrie they had while serving, but isn't yet offered elsewhere in the Veteran community.
While Brooke does binge the occasional video game (Frostpunk!) they aren't a serious gamer and prefers to spend time training with their Malinois service dog Jinx, cattle dog mix Bean or adopted 4yo. mustang Rune. Never without a fur-baby, you can also find them enjoying a slow morning, hiking, finding the best tacos in town, heading to Dog Mountain in Vermont, or assisting with a photography shoot with their partner Jack.
Jack Lynch, Community Manager (They/He)
Hello, Frost Call community. I'm Jack, and I use the pronouns They/He. As a retired U.S. Marine who served as a machine gunner, I'm no stranger to close-knit communities and the importance of camaraderie. My gaming journey began with the Nintendo Entertainment System, diving into titles like Rampart and Super Off Road. These days, my gaming preferences include Rimworld, Rocket League, and Factorio. It's an honor to join Frost Call as your Discord Community Manager. I'm deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, veteran-focused environment for all our members. Let's connect, game, and support one another.
Aly Gillen, Battle Buddy Program Director (She/Her)
Aly is an Air Force veteran and was stationed in Montana. At University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Aly received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematics. Currently, she works for the Bureau of Labor Statistics as a Mathematical Statistician. Aly is a cozy gamer with hundreds of hours in Stardew Valley, Coral Island, and Sims 4. She also reads a ridiculous amount and spoils her dog and cat.
Kim Sanders, Social Media Manager (She/Her)
Kim Sanders is a civilian ally and passionate about supporting mental health. In her day job, she teaches AP Literature to high schoolers in East Boston. Her favorite games are varied…from Elden Ring to Tunic to Stardew Valley. She is also a reader and committed cat mom to Greg and Garnet.
